Your First Class, Step by Step

We know walking into something new can bring up questions. Here's exactly what to expect so you can relax and just show up.


Before Class

Arrive 5-10 minutes early. We'll greet you warmly, show you around, and answer any questions. Wear comfortable clothes for movement. Bring a water bottle. Grip socks are recommended for barre (we have them for sale).


During Class

Your instructor guides you through everything. The music leads—you don't have to think your way through. Take breaks when you need them. Modify as it serves you. You don't have to be perfect. No one is watching you. Everyone is focused on their own experience. You're here to feel, not to perform.


After Class

Notice how you feel. Taller? Calmer? More connected? Enjoy a chilled eucalyptus + lavender towel. Ask questions. And come back—transformation happens in the rhythm, not the breakthrough.

Our signature beat-matched barre class. Structure, predictability, and a home base you can return to again and again. Most new members start here, and many find that this is their perfect rhythm.

A nervous system reset. Slower movement, breath as anchor, space to land and soften. Breathe is where you go to recalibrate.

  • Do I need prior experience?

    Not at all. Our classes are designed for all levels, and our instructors guide you through everything. First-timers are always welcome.

  • What if I need to modify movements?

    Modifications are celebrated here, not just tolerated. Your instructor will offer options, and you're always encouraged to choose what serves your body best.

  • What should I bring?

    Just yourself and water. Grip socks are recommended for barre classes (available for purchase). Wear whatever feels comfortable for movement.

  • How often should I come?

    Most members find their rhythm with 2-3 classes per week. Consistency is what creates the shift, but there's no pressure. Come as often as feels right for you.

  • What if I'm not "in shape"?

    Fitness level doesn't determine belonging. We meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be—with kindness, not judgment.


  • Can I try a class before committing?

    Yes! We offer a single class for $19 so you can experience labarre with no commitment. Or dive in with our unlimited month for $119—the best way to feel the transformation that comes from consistency.

  • What makes labarre different from other studios?

  • What if I have an injury or limitation?

    Please let your instructor know before class. They'll help you modify movements and ensure you have a safe, supportive experience.

Julie took ownership of labarre in 2024 with a vision to evolve it into a music-driven sanctuary for people living on autopilot. Under her leadership, she's reimagined the class structure (Balance, Bold, Breathe), refined the coaching language, and designed every detail to help you return to yourself.
