Meet Angelica: A Holistic Healer Rooted in Tradition and Expertise
Angelica is the founder of Juniper Acupuncture Orthopedics and Wellness, where she blends her deep expertise with a passion for healing. Holding a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University, Angelica is certified in Sports Medicine, Tuina massage, and Five Element acupuncture with a focus on psycho-emotional well-being.
As a second-generation acupuncturist, Angelica’s connection to the practice runs deep. Her father, Frank Campanale, LAc, met her mother, Kazuko Campanale, while studying acupuncture in Osaka, Japan. Her name, Angelica, not only reflects her Italian heritage but also pays homage to a key herb in Asian medicine. From the age of five, Angelica began assisting her father with treatments, setting the stage for her lifelong calling.
After becoming a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) in California, Angelica pursued additional licensure as a Qualified Medical Evaluator for workers’ compensation cases in the state. Her career took off at a prestigious acupuncture and orthopedic medical center in Silicon Valley, where she quickly rose to the position of Medical Director. There, she honed her skills in treating orthopedic and repetitive stress injuries, addressing stress-related health issues, guiding patients through dietary consultations, and practicing facial rejuvenation acupuncture.
Angelica’s approach to wellness is rooted in the belief that Traditional Chinese Medicine promotes individual and community health by supporting a robust immune system, reducing stress, enhancing sleep quality, and treating pain to keep the body active and balanced.
Beyond her professional life, Angelica finds joy and inspiration in staying active and exploring the natural world. She enjoys indoor rock climbing, yoga, running, swimming, and preparing wholesome meals. She also leads group backpacking trips in the Trinity Alps, sharing her love for the outdoors and fostering connections through nature.
