Meet Ronimarie!

Meet Ronimarie, one of labarre's newest instructors.  She takes center stage at the studio after her certification was completed this weekend.  For those who have already enjoyed Ronimarie's classes, you will know this San Jose native's classes aren't easy and will test the guests throughout the duration of the workouts she leads.  

But what would you expect?  

Ronimarie's fitness journey has always been about pushing limits and transporting herself to a special place, whether it be on the track as an athlete or in the studio where she began practicing Yoga, to feel more free and explore what "could be."

That passion and freedom she experienced, specifically in yoga, led to her desire to teach.

"It was a mind-body connection that allowed me to detach from the outside world so I could realign myself", Ronimarie noted.  "Yoga took me to a nice place of freedom and creativity." Now the insightful instructor is able to take that feeling and pay it forward to those guests who will take her classes.

"From the time that I began practicing, I wanted to be able to give back and strengthen people, allowing them to experience the freedom I also experienced."

Its that free spirit that makes Ronimarie simply "fun."  

She loves island and Hawaiian music and that's no surprise as she notes she loves any music she can sway to. She loves spending time with her friends and connecting with people.  That connection was what led to her discovering labarre studios.

"The thing about labarre is I had a friend tell me about it and that the studio was looking for instructors.  After teaching yoga classes I came in with a messy bun and looking all sweaty, I met Lisa Alberino (labarre's founder) and she looked at me and smiled, you know, she had no judgement." Ronimarie recalls with laughter.  "Lisa said, 'Do you want to audition?' and I said 'Sure!' and that's when I knew it was for me.  I was just ready to go because Lisa was so warm and kindhearted."

Ronimarie is exactly the type of instructor that will set labarre apart from other studios and we are so proud to have her join the ranks of those who are getting certified.  As the building at 1445 The Alameda is completing construction, the team is rounding out beautifully and they are ready to attack each day with excitement, fun and inspiration.

"I would be part of this for free!" Ronimarie stated with a confident smile. "It's about the bigger picture and its about helping people."
