Drinking enough water is often overlooked as one of the cornerstones of health, and is a major contributor to weight loss, energy levels, better digestion, detoxification, and even a clear complexion. At minimum, you should be consuming half your body weight in ounces of water per day. I.e., if you weigh 150 pounds, you should consume a minimum of 75 oz. of water a day. A better rule of thumb is for your urine to be light yellow throughout the duration of the day…this may mean many bathroom breaks, but your body will thank you! To meet your body’s daily water requirements, try starting your day with 12-24 ounces of water right after waking up. Try it with the juice of ½ a lemon for energizing and detoxing effects! Keep a large water bottle filled with water (You can get a great labarre bottle like this and use it every day) and take it with you to work, on the road, etc. If you’re not a fan of plain water, try spicing it up with some lemon or lime juice, torn up mint leaves, cucumber, strawberries or other flavorful fruits, veggies or fresh herbs. Recipe of the Month: Mexican Quinoa Salad with Cilantro Lime Dressing In light of Cinco de Mayo, enjoy this fresh and easy Mexican quinoa salad + dressing either by itself, or on a big bed of organic greens! Updates are very much welcome. It pays to be educated with recent developments with things that greatly interest us. It would be sad to learn about these things at a later date. Everyone wants to be the first to know all the time. People will wait in line just to have this privilege. If anyone offers give you access on whatever they are offering, you must take this as a very sweet compliment. No one is trying to sell you something you might not be needing any time soon. These people are very good with research.
