June is here!!

There are more “noons” in June!
 
Welcome to June and we are now offering 12:00p noon classes everyday of the week, beginning June 1st.  We wanted to make it exciting by offering a variety of classes, including barre, Yoga, and Hiit Express 45.  Take a look at our updated menu of classes here!

Our next 30-day Total Reset Program kicks off on Monday, June 11th at 5:45pm-7:15pm right here at 1445 The Alameda.

We are partnering with our Alameda partners, Red Dot Fitness and YELP on Wednesday, June 6th, 6:00pm-8:00pm.  Join us at Red Dot Fitness for “Yelp’s Health & Wellness Expo.”  There will be sample classes, free gifts, yummy treats and raffles.  Be sure to ask about our Barre Hopper that allows labarre guests to visit Red Dot Fitness (6 times a month) and for Red Dot members to do the same!  Oh… and if you want to show us some love on Yelp, don’t let us hold you back!  Just click here!
 
Our next labarre studios’ challenge begins now!  “100 Days Summer Strong” began on Memorial Day and runs all the way to Labor Day.  Here is the full rundown but it’s abbreviated below! ​

June Health Tip: Sleep for Success!
 
With summer here and school letting out, it provides a time for many people to re-prioritize their health and focus on good, quality sleep. Sleep is essential for us not to just function, but truly thrive. Getting 7-9 hours of sleep each night helps us to manage stress more effectively, balances our hormones, gives us stable energy throughout the day, improves cognitive function and mood, and repairs our tired muscles and joints after all those barre classes (just to name a few benefits!) You will truly notice the difference in the way you feel- physically, mentally and emotionally- after a good night's sleep. Here are a few simple tips for increasing the quality of your shut eye this summer:

- Go to bed & wakeup at same time, ideally falling asleep around 10pm & waking at 6am. 
- Sleep in a cool (68 degrees or lower), completely dark room- especially no electronic lights as they disrupt our sleep patterns and hormones. 
- Ditch your electronics / social media at least 30 minutes prior to bed to give your brain time to unwind. (Choose relaxing activities like a bath, reading, or journaling.) 
- Eat dinner 2-3 hours before laying down for bed so your body can focus on resting, not digesting, while you're asleep. 
- Create a "bedtime routine" so your body knows it's time to start shutting down.
- Get plenty of sunlight each day so your body can follow it's circadian rhythms.

​June Recipe- Green Matcha Cooler 

 
This perfectly balanced smoothie provides a boost of clean energy through Matcha (powdered green tea leaves), a full serving of veggies, healthy fats and protein. Enjoy for breakfast or as a heavier snack. Remember to use organic ingredients when possible, especially your greens! 
 ​
1/2 frozen green zucchini 
1/2 frozen green tipped banana
2 handfuls spinach 
1-2 Tbsps ground flax meal 
1Tbsp almond butter 
1 cup plain almond milk 
1 scoop low sugar, plant based protein (unflavored or vanilla) 
1 tsp Matcha powder 
 
Blend and enjoy!
