4/18/2017 4 Comments IT'S YOUR DAY...My wife is original. That may be the best way that I can describe her. When we met nearly 2 decades ago, she was a confident, independent woman, with an incredible family and an ambitious mind.
She knew that her goal was always to treat people kindly, raise good human beings and enjoy life; These things she excelled at across all levels. As she progressed as a businesswoman, mom, wife and best friend, she reinvented what those roles were. Lisa juggled all – like most women do – but juggled her obligations with style and flair and always put herself last. When she dominated in the financial world and her team grew extensively, that meant she had to amplify her game and instead of being 2nd place on the list, she became 22nd place. Her selflessness amazed me but seemed commonplace all the same because, well, that is what Lisa does. When she was called upon to help a friend, which was often, she was there… no questions asked - again, a Lisa trait. I often say that when I am having a bad day I call her simply to hear the tone in her voice. It’s calming… almost like a drug. She takes the time to speak to anyone who needs her, but she takes even more time to listen. She is creative and Lisa is a renaissance woman. She redefines herself often and that is most recently seen in what she is doing with labarre studios. A student of barre, she toiled to become an instructor. She sculpted her body, arduously worked to be the best she could be and then shared that gift with all she could. Naturally, that passion accelerated into what we hope to be a thriving business, but more importantly a way of life that can usher others into a healthy mind, body and spirit. Today is her day, however, so I have hijacked her blog to let the world know that Lisa’s birthday will be followed up by a dream being realized. Her studios will soon be open and her gift can be shared. Again, when she should be given gifts, she is offering the gift of health, kindness, fun and fitness. I am so proud of you, Lisa, and hope that after reading this, you will take it easy on me in class. With incredible love, respect and honor I wish you the happiest of birthdays. Your husband, friend and partner. Rob.
